Intensive Workshop Study Method
This course is aimed at those who are working in
supporting marketing roles, usually within the marketing function or
hold more senior roles, particularly in SMEs, where marketing is
only part of what they do. The qualification provides a practical
insight into the principles and application of marketing.

This course is a Level 4 qualification/equivalent to Foundation year
on a Degree course.

Delivery Method
Our approach is a blended learning package of e-lessons and
intensive workshops. These are supplemented using tutorials and
email feedback by experienced CIM lecturers. Using small study
groups in our workshops encourages the sharing of knowledge and
experience between tutors and students.
The e-lessons and other study resources are available from Intensive
Marketing’s Virtual Learning Environment, Moodle.
Course Venue
Our intensive workshops take place at Arlington Arts Centre in
purpose built seminar rooms. Conveniently located minutes from
M4/J13 junction at Newbury, we are less than 45 minutes from
Swindon, Basingstoke, Andover, Oxford, Southampton, Reading, London,

Entry Requirements
You must meet one or more of the following criteria:
- 2 ‘A’ levels or any non marketing bachelors or masters degree
- Business and/or marketing experience and the successful completion
of the Level 4 entry test
- CIM Introductory Certificate (Level 2 or 3 versions will be
accepted)
- NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Marketing (equivalent to NQF Level 3)
- NVQ/SVQ Level 4 in any other subject (equivalent to NQF Level 4
and above)
- International baccalaureate (equivalent to NQF Level 3 and above)
Course Assessment
This course is continually assessed via 3 unit assignments and one
exam. There are three written assignments per unit.
Course Fees (2009)
For courses starting from September 2009 onwards:
• £400 + VAT per module
• £1495 + VAT for Diploma course (book all 4 modules and save £105)
There are additional costs paid directly to the CIM for Annual membership
and assignment submissions. You will also need to purchase CIM
recommended text books.
